Donnie Levi Lind, 21

Donnie entered this world as a determined bundle of joy on July 16, 1996 and entered heaven on November 19, 2017.

Donnie freely shared his charisma, love, and loyalty throughout his 21 years of life. His spirit was drawn to connecting with everyone in his path with genuine interest and care. He loved fiercely and was pulled to support and defend the “underdog.” Enjoying endless adventure led him to explore a variety of athletic and musical endeavors, not missing a beat when he was ready to move on to the next. Along each journey he acquired new skills, but more importantly lasting friendships. He had a flare for fashion and design sharing tips and thoughtful gifts with loved ones (especially with his mom). He would study topics of interest day and night (in a mad scientist mode) and thrived on sharing the right information at just the right time. He enjoyed a good debate with anyone that would give him the air time (with his dad being at the top of his list) and had a gift for turning most discussions into providing guidance.

Donnie graduated from Buffalo Senior High School in 2014 with honors and attended the University of Minnesota Duluth. He was proud of being accepted into the UMD Labovitz School of Business Entrepreneurship Program and looked forward to learning with the best. He was a passionate visionary with goals that would have changed the world for the better. Our lives will never be the same without him. We take comfort in knowing he’s fitting right in with those that went before him.

Donnie is preceded in death by his dear friend, Sam Lewandoski. He is survived by his cherished family: parents, Todd and Aimee; brother Dain; cats Jaguar and Ari; grandparents, Don and Joan Lind, and John and Mary Light; uncles and aunts, Dan and Rhonda Lind, Jeff and Bobbi Lind, Sherry Light and Kenny, Scott and Corinne Wagner, Jeff and Michelle Light, and Tim and Danielle Lee; cousins, Alyssa and Evan Lind, Cole Lind, Zoe and Jakob Johnson, Blake, Brady and Joe Wagner, Hannah and Daniel Light, Jack and Maddie Delmore, and Brett, Gannon and Darby Lee. Also survived by: cherished fellow schoolmates, teammates, roommates, music mates, managers and coworkers; and extra-special friends: Josh, Jordan, Parker, Casey, Riley, Hunter and Patrick.

Celebration of Life Friday December 1, 11:00 a.m. with visitation beginning at 9:30, Buffalo Covenant Church.
